The city beach club Blijburg is here to stay. The music and food club opened up again, servicing the beach on IJburg. In cooperation with Stanja van Mierloo, ZJA designed two buildings for the club’s new location on IJburg, which is at the end of the Pampuslaan, near the Centrumeiland peninsula. Centrumeiland is the first in a series of 4 islands, being developed as part of the second fase of the IJburg development, all to facilitate the growing population of Amsterdam.
For ten years, Blijburg has been Amsterdam’s world-famous city beach, chosen by CNN as one of the top city beaches in Europa.
