With the first sheet piling going into the ground, construction of the Jaarbeursplein underground parking garage in Utrecht has started. To minimize inconvenience, the sheet piling is first pressed into the ground. Only the last part is then vibrated. Once all the sheet pilings are in the ground, excavation of the ground will start followed by the pouring of concrete. The underground garage will be finished in 2018, and offers space for over 700 cars.
